| Xenogarbology is the study of nonhuman refuse and trash. The term was coined on 29 October 2007 by Stephen Wilson to describe the work of Alexey Arkhipov on extraterrestrial space debris.
Arkhipov has argued that even in the absence of interstellar travel, extraterrestrial debris will enter the solar system and that searches for such debris should be conducted on the Moon and Earth.
